ENI announced the start of an exploration in collaboration with MIWEN, a subsidiary of YPF, which also holds 50% of the project. This block, located about 200 kilometers off the Uruguayan coast, is being studied to assess its hydrocarbon potential. The current phase aims to explore an area of 17,000 square kilometers, reaching depths of 4,100 meters. YPF plans to move towards further exploration by 2027-2028.
