A project to extend the thermogenic natural gas service is planned for 60 new homes and small industries in El Pino, in the municipality of Imías. This service, in place since March, has been developed by experts to optimize the use of locally discovered gas. Residents have been trained in its use and maintenance, thus replacing the old artisanal system. Other similar projects are underway in the region.
