The last tribute to Rubén Rada took place in Barrio Sur and Palermo, in the presence of President Yamadú Orsi. Thousands of people celebrated his life, accompanied by the rhythms of candombe and his iconic songs. The funeral procession ended at the cemetery, where compatriots and fans sang "Muriendo de plena". Rada, who passed away at 83, left a mark on Uruguayan music with his bold fusion of styles.
