Between April and May, Guatemala recorded 58 alerts regarding the recruitment of adolescents by gangs. Among these alerts, 34 involve boys and 24 involve girls, aged 13 to 17. The Procuraduría emphasizes the importance of a swift response to protect these at-risk youths. The Alba-Keneth system has helped locate many missing minors, but the reasons for these disappearances are varied, including fleeing or escaping from family conflicts.
