The Japanese government is broadening its program for reusing decontaminated land, already in place at several sites in Tokyo, to other regions. This initiative aims to reduce the volumes of soil and radioactive waste accumulated since the 2011 disaster. The goal is to recycle up to 75% of these materials for public projects, while also strengthening public trust in the safety of this process.
