The consultations on the partial reform of the Nicaraguan Constitution have concluded, bringing together various societal actors, both in person and virtually. Participants praised the proposed changes as a strengthening of peace and democracy. They also expressed their opposition to any foreign interference in national affairs. The proposal includes restrictions on candidacies and the duration of electoral mandates. The final report will be presented on September 1.
