Roads remain closed in Guatemala, particularly at kilometer 319 of the Franja Transversal del Norte and in zone 13 of the Mundo Maya airport. The protests, driven by the historic rise in diesel prices, have led the president to propose a second temporary subsidy for fuels. Parliament is also considering the creation of a compensation fund to regulate prices.
