The UN Secretary-General highlighted, on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the UN Fund, the devastating impact of violence on women, both physically and psychologically. He stressed the urgency of eradicating these assaults to ensure human rights and promote sustainable development. Since its establishment in 1996, the Fund has supported numerous projects to strengthen laws and protect victims, while raising awareness of the increased risks associated with conflicts and new technologies.
