A soldier of the Dominican Republic Army was injured during a migration control operation in the Jicomé district. The incident occurred when a Haitian man in an irregular situation attacked the soldier with a machete. After being treated on site, the soldier was transported for further care. Authorities are continuing their search to find the assailant, who fled the scene.
