A change of command has taken place in La Vega with the appointment of Colonel Edison Cabrera Concepción as the new director of the Regional Directorate of the National Police. This transfer is part of a series of internal reforms within the institution. Cabrera Concepción will focus on strengthening prevention and security strategies in the region. The former director, Colonel Ramón Dicló Mateo, has not yet been announced for a new position.
