Retired General Héctor Enrique Lachapelle Díaz has passed away at the age of 87. He played a crucial role in the constitutionalist movement of 1965, notably as the head of operations under the government of Francisco Alberto Caamaño Deñó. Lachapelle Díaz participated in several important battles and also contributed to the education and study of Dominican history. His funeral will take place soon.
