Dominican President Luis Abinader has called for prayers for the health of Pope Leo XIV, who is currently hospitalized in Rome after undergoing surgery to remove a tumor. During a ceremony at the Vatican, he prayed for the pontiff's recovery and expressed his hope to see him visit the Dominican Republic in 2027. Abinader also included in his prayers the well-being of Dominican families and the challenges facing his government.
