María Montez International Airport, located in the southwest of the Dominican Republic, is suffering from serious deterioration. With only 56 monthly flight operations, mainly private and military flights, its passenger facilities are in poor condition. The premises are often empty, and urgent maintenance work is needed to revive its commercial and tourist activity.
