Two men lost their lives after being shot during a police operation in Santo Domingo Este. They had been spotted in a transport vehicle, suspected of having threatened the driver and preparing for a robbery. During the interception, they opened fire on the officers, resulting in a shootout. Weapons and other evidence were seized at the scene. The two deceased had criminal records.
