A new roadmap has been presented in Basse-Terre to combat substandard housing in Guadeloupe. This plan, signed by the State and its partners, aims to more effectively identify at-risk housing and coordinate interventions. About a quarter of the population lives in conditions deemed substandard. An observatory has been created to better understand this issue and assist families in finding safe housing.
