The Guadeloupe prefecture is implementing new safety measures for the 2026 edition of the Route du Rhum. Competitors will be surrounded by a safety bubble, with restricted areas for support vessels and a speed limit of ten knots. Nautical stadiums will allow the public to safely attend the event, while reminding everyone of the importance of caution on the water.
