Since 1992, the Papakaï association has been working to promote Saramaka culture, a Maroon black people of French Guiana. Thanks to the commitment of its 36 volunteers, it has established the Saut-Léodate Camp, where nine carbets have been built to accommodate up to 40 people. This initiative aims to strengthen community ties and promote social integration within the region.
