The United States has announced new sanctions against Cuba, primarily targeting the electronics sector and members of the Gaesa conglomerate. This decision comes amid an energy crisis on the island, exacerbated by a de facto oil blockade. Among those sanctioned is Any Rodríguez Lastres, daughter of the president of Gaesa. Washington has also warned of sanctions against any foreign person operating in key sectors in Cuba.
