Fifty Bangladeshi soldiers took off for Haiti on October 15, 2026, forming the first team of a total of five contingents. Their mission is to join the Gang Suppression Force, established by the United Nations Security Council. In total, around 1600 military personnel and police from Bangladesh are expected on Haitian soil by the end of November.
