A Jamaican permanent resident has been arrested in the United States for voting illegally in elections between 2000 and 2022. Antonio Mitchell, 54, allegedly registered to vote in several elections despite his non-citizen status. In 2025, he also allegedly lied on his naturalization application by stating he had never voted. Authorities remind that voting is a right reserved for eligible voters.
