Alex Saab, former Venezuelan minister and close associate of Nicolas Maduro, has acknowledged his guilt for money laundering in a Miami court. Extradited in May, he initially pleaded not guilty, but changed his mind as part of a deal with prosecutors. This deal includes the forfeiture of 195 million dollars, linked to a corruption scheme. Saab could face up to 20 years in prison, depending on his cooperation with authorities.
