Over 750 participants gathered in Kingston for the inaugural edition of the Urban Forest Run, an event aimed at supporting the restoration of forests and mangrove ecosystems in Jamaica. Organized by the Forestry Department, this event raised funds for rehabilitation initiatives following the damage caused by Hurricane Melissa. Runners and walkers not only participated in a sporting activity but also contributed to environmental awareness.
