This week, the Medical Mission on Spasticity, in collaboration with the University Hospital of the West Indies, is providing specialized treatments and mobility equipment to many Jamaicans suffering from spasticity. A team from Gillette Children's Hospital, composed of various specialists, is present to assist patients. The program, which has been running for 18 years, also focuses on early detection of cerebral palsy and the development of 3D-printed wheelchairs.
