The reconstruction program following Cyclone Melissa aims to strengthen the resilience of educational institutions. Approximately 688 schools were damaged, 313 of which severely. The budget allocated for repairs amounts to nearly 26 billion. At the same time, an investment of 400 million is planned to modernize technical and vocational education. Improvements are also underway for science laboratories and Internet connectivity in schools.
