The Black River Service Hub of the Island Traffic Authority will reopen on October 13, 2026, after months of closure due to damage caused by Hurricane Melissa. Services will resume nearly a year after the incident, allowing residents of St Elizabeth to once again access ITA services. The authority thanked the public for their patience during this difficult time.
