The EIB has approved funding of 4 million euros for Rock Mobile, allowing the company to advance in the deployment of its 4G network in Jamaica. This 29 million euro project aims to establish broadband coverage in the metropolitan area of Kingston. Rock Mobile, which acquired spectrum rights in 2021, aims to improve competition and internet access in underserved communities.
