The agricultural sectors of Martinique, including sugar cane, bananas, livestock, and agri-food, have united to denounce reductions in national support that could reach nearly 20 million euros. During a meeting at the Chamber of Agriculture, professionals expressed their concerns about the viability of their operations in the face of announced budget cuts in the finance bill for 2027, while calling for sustainable commitments for the future.
