La Réunion will benefit from a new submarine cable, the "Réunion New Indian Ocean Network", aimed at improving its internet connectivity. This project, funded by European funds and private partners, represents an investment of 88.3 million euros. Scheduled to be operational in 2028, it will address the need to secure the island's digital connections in light of the obsolescence of existing infrastructures.
