Forty-six countries, including several islands in the Indian Ocean, support a moratorium on deep-sea mining, highlighting the risks to marine ecosystems. This project, presented at the Our Ocean conference, aims to protect areas that are still largely unexplored. Seychelles, which advocates for marine conservation, has not yet signed this document, while India plans significant investments in oil exploration.
