Sebastien Lecornu, on a visit to Mayotte, announced new initiatives to combat illegal immigration. Accompanied by several ministers, he discussed an increase in the number of border police and gendarmerie personnel, as well as an increased military deployment at sea. Advanced technologies, such as drones and radars, will be implemented to monitor the borders. The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of cooperation with the countries of origin of the migrants.
