The Progressive Union in Melanesia has expressed doubts about the resumption of institutional discussions ahead of the 2027 presidential election. During a meeting, the party affirmed its support for the Bougival agreement and highlighted the liberal center candidates, deemed the most favorable to this agreement. The UPM also denounces the current economic situation and calls for a collective effort to rebuild the country.
