Delays in the public procurement process are severely affecting several key initiatives in Tobago, according to the Chief Secretary of the THA. Vacant positions remain unfilled and school repairs are progressing slowly, raising concerns about the readiness of schools for the new term. Additionally, a fireworks display for Independence Day nearly faced cancellation due to these same delays. A committee has been formed to address these issues.
