The government of Antigua and Barbuda expects to receive its first liquefied natural gas (LNG) shipment by the end of 2026. The Minister of Public Utilities announced that the necessary dredging work to accommodate LNG vessels is now complete. This project aims to replace diesel with LNG for electricity production, thereby reducing energy costs and integrating renewable energy sources.
