Primary education in Barbados has long integrated continuous assessment, according to a sector official. The Chief of Education, Dr. Ramona Archer-Bradshaw, emphasizes that assessments are conducted in primary schools. As part of the Educational Transformation Agenda, data on students' skills will be collected from their entry into school. Meanwhile, the ministry is working on a curriculum more suited to students' needs.
