The U.S. Food and Drug Administration has approved updated Covid-19 vaccines, primarily targeting individuals aged 65 and older, as well as those aged 5 to 64 with underlying risk conditions. Pfizer, Moderna, and Novavax have each received authorizations for their formulations targeting the XFG variant. Although Covid cases are not alarming at the moment, an increase in test positivity is being observed. The vaccines are expected to be available in September.
