Julien Alfred won the victory at the Zurich Diamond League, breaking the previous national record with a time of 10.70 seconds. The athlete from Saint Lucia avenged himself against the American Melissa Jefferson-Wooden, who finished in second place with the same time. Alfred made an impressive start, edging out Jefferson-Wooden by a few thousandths of a second. Sha’Carri Richardson completed the podium.
