The foreign ministers of Mercosur member countries will meet in Uruguay to discuss trade and political divergences. On the agenda, an agreement on the distribution of export quotas to the European Union, in effect since May. This meeting comes amid heightened tensions between Brazil and Argentina, exacerbated by recent political strife. Air agreements will also be signed with Argentina and Bolivia before the meeting.
