The Cuban Prime Minister hailed a significant advancement in local science with the development of a new drug, 2C12, similar to pembrolizumab. This treatment will be tested on patients with advanced melanoma, in several facilities in Havana and Villa Clara. This project aims to strengthen Cuba's autonomy in health care and to provide alternatives in the face of prohibitive costs of international treatments.
