A project for an energy storage park is underway in Holguín, supervised by officials from the Communist Party and the Ministry of Energy. This facility is part of a national program aimed at transforming the country's energy matrix, with a capacity of 200 megawatts. It will support solar energy production by storing excess during sunny hours for use during peak demand, thereby enhancing the stability of the electrical grid.
