From September 10 to October 4, the play 'Somewhere Over the Border' will be presented, offering a migrant perspective on the classic 'The Wizard of Oz'. Written by Brian Quijada, it tells the story of his mother, a Salvadoran migrant. On September 20, the Choral Arts Society of Washington will kick off its season with 'Embrace the Unknown', while the Dance Theatre of Harlem will perform on September 25 and 26 with 'Firebird', enriched with choreography inspired by the music of James Brown and Aretha Franklin.
