Currently, about a dozen wildfires are active in Colombia, mainly in the department of Tolima, where ten fires have been reported. Authorities have recently managed to control three fires, but the situation remains concerning with over 22,000 hectares burned. The most affected communities are suffering significant damage, particularly due to the ongoing drought and human activity. Authorities have decided to restrict access to the disaster areas.
