The increased circulation of viruses has led to a record number of hospitalizations among children in Chile. Health authorities emphasize the importance of protecting the most vulnerable, particularly by encouraging them to get vaccinated. Currently, the vaccination coverage against influenza is 79.1%, but it remains insufficient among children and pregnant women. Rhinovirus is the most common virus, followed by syncytial virus and type B influenza.
