Former diplomat Emmanuel Mwamba, representative of the Alianza Tonse-Pamodzi, raised concerns about the closure of courts by armed forces, preventing lawyers from filing appeals. He emphasized that reported violations must be corrected before the inauguration of President Hakainde Hichilema, scheduled for September 1. Mwamba also mentioned a security operation at the home of opposition candidate Brian Mundubile, and criticized the Electoral Commission for suspending the counting of results.
