Three individuals have been sentenced to 15 years in prison by the Fourth Collegiate Court of Santiago for their involvement in a network trafficking Haitian migrants and identity theft. The defendants, arrested during an operation, were transporting migrants across the northern border and housing them in a house. In addition to the prison sentence, they will have to pay heavy fines to the Dominican state.
