The Italian government has decided to extend the 17-cent per liter reduction on diesel until September 5, in response to the ongoing rise in energy prices. This decision, supported by several ministers, also includes the extension of the tax credit for transport companies. The financial coverage will be ensured by additional revenues from the taxation of large companies in the energy sector.
