Wildlife trafficking in Colombia: an alarming scourge for endangered species

The organization has raised concerns about the impact of wildlife trafficking in Colombia, where reptiles are the most affected. Over 164,000 animals have been recorded, the majority of which are reptiles, followed by birds and mammals. The departments of Bolívar, Magdalena, Sucre, and Córdoba are the most affected. Many animals have been released or are under care, but a significant number have also perished.
