Authorities arrested 23 Haitian migrants during an operation aimed at combating deforestation in the Sierra de Bahoruco. This operation, led by the National Environmental Protection Service and the Ministry of Environment, also dismantled 15 illegal constructions. The individuals apprehended were handed over to the General Directorate of Migration for legal proceedings.
