Nayely Altagracia Capellán was the victim of an assault by her ex-partner, one month after their separation. Despite a protection order obtained by her family in 2023, the relationship continued, leading to conflicts. Nayely was attacked with a knife in front of her three children, who alerted the neighbors. The assailant then turned himself in to the police, where evidence was found. The incident is now classified as an attempted femicide.
