The Ministry of Health has released a report indicating 45 infant deaths for week 39 of 2026, marking an increase compared to the previous week. Among these deaths, 38 occurred during the neonatal period. In total, 1,500 child deaths have been recorded this year, including 1,257 among newborns. Furthermore, the bulletin also mentions eight maternal deaths, bringing the total to 120 for the current year.
