The Santiago Prosecutor's Office is examining eight incidents of deaths that occurred during alleged exchanges of gunfire with police officers. The aim is to determine the responsibilities of the involved officers. Prosecutor Quirsa Abreu emphasized the importance of gathering evidence and listening to witnesses. Bishop Andrés Amauri Rosario called for the protection of human life and for enhancing training for officers to better address violence.
